Tamar Braxton – First black contestant to win the U.S. version of Big Brother, Becomes $250,000 Richer

TAmerican singer, songwriter and media personality, Tamar Braxton has won the Celebrity Big Brother Season 2.

According to Bustle, she defeated other contestants on the reality show after weeks of battle.

On Wednesday night the battle was between her and Ricky Williams, but she secure enough votes from her former houseguests to take the victory.

A report into the victory revealed that she actually secured all the votes, making her win unanimously.

Tamar is now $250,000 richer. While Ricky gets to walk out with the $ 50,000-second place prize.

The singer is now the first black contestant to win the U.S. version of Big Brother, a feat that took 20 seasons of Big Brother and two seasons of Celebrity Big Brother to achieve.
