But now we are starting to win them back and are even bringing in new ones.&#8221; &#160;&lt;br /&gt;Amy worked at the pub for seven years before taking charge and it was that experience which motivated her to take the risk.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;I had spent two years working under the previous management and it was frustrating because I could see what needed to be done but it was out of my power to make any changes,&#8221; she said.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;People told me I must be mad when I told them what I was going to do and when I look back on it now I suppose it was a gamble. But having worked here for so long I always knew that if I was able to make these changes I would be able to make it a success.&#8221;&lt;br /&gt;One change which has contributed to The Bull&#8217;s revival was a complete overhaul of the menu. All the food is now homemade, cheaper and cooked using local produce such as fresh eggs from the neighbouring village of Offchurch.&lt;br /&gt;And Amy believes the addition of her sister, Lisa, to the management team also helped make the takeover a success.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;I have taken it on myself but my sister is here with me as a manager and my family all muck in when something needs doing,&#8221; she said.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;I think that has really helped to make it a friendly place for families to come, whereas before it was aimed more at couples.&#8221;&lt;br /&gt;Emma Rynberk, an Enterprise Coach at the Chamber of Commerce has been working with Amy to help her build on the progress she has made.&lt;br /&gt;She said: &#8220;It is refreshing to see someone so young take on a position of such responsibility.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;We have been working with Amy to develop her marketing strategy and help her bring in more customers while maintaining the pub&#8217;s strong links with the community.&lt;br /&gt;&#8220;We have high hopes for her for the future.&#8221;&lt;br /&gt;ENDS&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; The Central Coast Vineyard Team was first honored in 1997 for developing the Positive Points Systems to evaluate IPM strategies in vineyards.&#160; This new award honors the Sustainability in Practice (SIP&#8482;) Certification program that requires growers to use a variety of practices that protect air and water quality, food safety and worker health. Since SIP&#8217;s 2008 implementation, certified acreage has increased from 3,700 acres to more than 11,000 acres. Today, more than 50,000 certified cases of wine carry the SIP&#8482; seal on wine bottle labels to help consumers identify sustainable wines, with new winery participants added in every vintage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The centre near Reading has accommodation for around 160 police students, and is being served by eight catering staff from Restaurants at Work after the Epsom-based company took over a contract previously run by Zest Caterers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Wyn Roberts, managing director of Restaurants at Work, said: &amp;ldquo;Thames Valley Police has recognised our strong commitment to using quality, fresh food to produce traditional wholesome menus, and also the personal service we can offer all our clients.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;We are really pleased with how the link-up has gone so far and we have already had some great feedback from the students at the training centre.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pat and Mike Murphy purchased the Grade II Listed Lord Leycester hotel in late September, and they have handed managerial responsibilities to their brother, Martyn.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Martyn&amp;rsquo;s hotel management firm, MGM Hotels, is now consulting with architects about a &amp;pound;2 million refurbishment, which will modernise the 52-bedroom hotel, its conference room, meeting rooms and 92-cover restaurant.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Work should be completed by the end of 2010 and Martyn believes the revitalised hotel has a bright future.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;We are getting the architects together soon because we want to refurbish certain parts of the hotel next year &amp;ndash; although this will not affect future bookings,&amp;rdquo; said Martyn, who also runs the Old Palace Hotel in Church Street, Dunstable.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;The hotel was on the market for a long time, despite being an intrinsically good asset. The price changed a lot from when it first appeared, and finally reached a level we were happy with.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;This is a long-term investment for us. We want to be here for years to come.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;ldquo;We were attracted to it because it&amp;rsquo;s a Grade Two listed building in the centre of Warwick, so it&amp;rsquo;s a good location for tourists and good for conference and banqueting clients too.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;There are also nearly 50 on-site car parking spaces which is rare for a town centre hotel, so overall we found it had a lot of positives.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;

Marfo in Lelystad staat bekend als de &amp;lsquo;grootste keuken van Nederland&amp;rsquo; en kocht de hele oogst van deze speciale sperzieboon op, goed voor 1,5 miljoen maaltijden, om zo een draadloos boontje van constante kwaliteit en goede beet te kunnen garanderen. Vooral in de zorg is consistente maaltijdkwaliteit voor pati&amp;euml;nten en bewoners essentieel. Consumenten in de zorg klagen opvallend vaak over draadjes en gaarheid van sperziebonen.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Herman Schaap, directeur Marfo: &amp;lsquo;De zorginstellingen waar wij voor koken willen lekker en gezond eten voor hun pati&amp;euml;nten en bewoners. Wij willen vaste kwaliteit en presentatie van onze gerechten. In workshops met bewoners van zorgorganisatie Florence kreeg Pascal Jalhay vaak opmerkingen over sperziebonen. Goede bonen blijken zeldzaam. Leveranciers leveren verschillende rassen na en door elkaar. Daarom zochten wij onze eigen boon. Wij wilden een grote oogst en een boon die altijd dezelfde eigenschappen heeft, keer op keer. Uiteindelijk kozen wij voor de prinsesboon Clarion (&lt;em&gt;Phaseoleus vulgaris&lt;/em&gt;). Deze lekkere vleesrijke boon groeide speciaal voor Marfo in Belgi&amp;euml; en is fris, stevig en &amp;ndash; heel belangrijk &amp;ndash; draadloos.&amp;rsquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;De hele oogst is volgens Marfo-principes behandeld, minimaal bespoten en op een door Marfo bepaald tijdstip van het land gehaald. In september werden in &amp;eacute;&amp;eacute;n dag alle bonen geoogst van een glooiende akker in Walloni&amp;euml; van vier voetbalvelden groot. Binnen drie uur werden de bonen beetgaar gestoomd en ingevroren waardoor de versheid, smaak en textuur optimaal blijven. Het Marfo-boontje wordt &amp;eacute;&amp;eacute;n keer gegaard, in plaats van blancheren bij de verwerker en garen in de grootkeuken. Dit is gezonder, voordeliger en effici&amp;euml;nter. De oogst is genoeg voor een heel jaar. Daardoor hoeft Marfo geen sperziebonen te importeren uit verre landen zoals Egypte. Marfo gaat ook andere groenten op deze bijzondere manier selecteren en verwerken.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In the deal, worth in the region of &amp;pound;700,000, Bartlett, who founded her company in 2003 will work with the group and over see its Greater London operation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is the first purchase by the Bright Futures Group after it floated on the PLUS Market in 2009.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Group chairman Tjalke Boersma said the acquisition was in line with the aims stated by the company when it floated.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He said: &amp;ldquo;We have always said that we wanted to bring smaller, experienced quality operators into our group to increase our strength and geographical spread.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;Jill Bartlett &amp;amp; Company fit that description perfectly. It is a company with a very good reputation and several blue chip city clients. Het ontwikkelteam van Marfo bedacht de recepten en presentatie, onder supervisie van topchef Jalhay. In de moderne keuken van Marfo worden de verse ingredi&amp;euml;nten bereid. Daarna stellen de koks van Marfo de maaltijd in een assemblage zorgvuldig samen en maken het gerecht op in een ronde &amp;lsquo;wegwerpmal&amp;rsquo;. De diameter van de maaltijdmal past precies op de spiegel van een bord. Iedere maaltijd heeft een eigen opmaak, die op het laatste moment nog wordt afgemaakt in de zorginstelling. De naam Mozaic (inderdaad zonder puntjes) vond ze in Azi&amp;euml;. Het staat dit keer niet voor kleurige tegelwerken verwerkt in de inrichting maar is symbolisch voor kleurrijk, variatie, afwisseling en tegelijkertijd voor eenheid, aldus Waaijer. En dat geldt ook voor een hotel, waar veel mensen vanuit verschillende nationaliteiten en achtergronden zich samen onder &amp;eacute;&amp;eacute;n dak bevinden.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Het klassieke pand daterend uit 1880, biedt vanaf de opening een luxe 3-sterren hotel met 25 verschillende kamers, een ruime vergaderruimte en een rustige WIFI-lounge die ook publiek toegankelijk is. Van oorsprong zijn de panden als woonhuis gebouwd en die sfeer is mede dankzij de ontwerpen van de architect zoveel mogelijk behouden gebleven. Iedere kamer vertelt een eigen verhaal over de omgeving. De bekende Haagse fotografe Karen Kommer maakte mooie beelden van de stad en verwerkte deze in fotowanden op de kamers. Het hotel gaat zich richten op zowel de zakelijke als toeristische gasten en onderscheidt zich door een zeer persoonlijke service te bieden op een 4/5 sterren niveau. De ligging is centraal, op loopafstand van internationale bedrijven en organisaties als Shell, zakenbank NIBC, Europol en de trendy uitgaansgelegenheden in het centrum.De laatste hand wordt nu gelegd aan de badkamers, de lift is geplaatst en de komende weken worden gebruikt om het hotel modern en comfortabel in te richten.&lt;/p&gt;
