Press Release: Wedding Fayre Catwalk Parade

Bridal fashions for 2011 will be paraded by real-life models at a wedding fayre near Coventry this month.
Classique Bridal Studio in Winsford Avenue, Allesley, will be showcasing brides and bridesmaids’ dresses along with outfits for the mother of the bride at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Meriden Road near Fillongley.
A catwalk will be specially constructed in the Birchley Suite for the 30-minute show on Sunday, February 27 at 1pm when canapés will be served to those watching.
Stephanie Morris, from Classique, said accessories such as hats, bags and shoes would be on show as well as dresses.
“Taffeta gowns are in vogue for brides this year with lots of sparkle so they are straight dresses rather than fuller gowns,” she said.
“Cerise is popular for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids’ fashions vary greatly on the bride’s individual taste.
“We never use professional models. We always use our family and friends so that people watching the show see the dresses on real people so that they can see what the outfits really look like.
“The fashion show is always a highlight of the wedding fayre and we hope it will draw in the crowds once again.”
Guests to the wedding fayre, which will be held between 11am and 3pm, will be greeted with a glass of bucks fizz and there will be exhibitors ranging from cakes to photographers
Heart of England’s new marquee will also be set up as if a wedding reception is taking place and staff will be on hand to talk about the venue’s facilities and services.
Pippa Wells, wedding planner at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, said the venue held wedding fayres twice a year.
“Each wedding we host is individual and we like to treat it as such,” she said. “We have held many fayres and open evenings and feel it is very important to do so because our clients find it invaluable to be able to see the venue as it would be on a wedding day and to talk through the options available to them. “Our venue has the facilities to provide everything to make every wedding really special.
“The wedding fayre is an ideal opportunity to promote our venue to brides-to-be who have become engaged on Valentine’s Day and are already planning their big day!”
Couple who book their wedding at the fayre can take advantage of receiving the cost of food and drink for the top table for free on selected dates. More information will be available on the day.
