Press Release: Warwick Printing nearly doubles turnover and workforce

A West Midlands printing company is pressing towards success after a major expansion.

Warwick Printing Company Ltd, on Caswell Road in Leamington Spa, is defying the downturn with figures showing turnover up 40 per cent from last year.

And the company, which was established in 1946, has nearly doubled its workforce from 30 employees to 50 in just over 12-months.

Warwick Printing works with clients from across the UK, producing over 200 monthly titles of A5 and A4 magazines.

Other products include print work for the education and private sector including stationery, leaflets, brochures and prospectuses.

John Young, managing director of Warwick Printing said he was delighted with the company’s growth but is now keen to continue a prosperous 63-year history by attracting more local clients from the West Midlands.

He said: “We’re really pleased with the growth in sales, it’s a testament to the hard work put in by everyone and a real team effort.

“Despite the increase in turnover we’re still looking for ways to improve and become leaner for the future, which includes attracting more local clients.

“We are assessing our processes more objectively, but we hope to continue the growth in sales throughout 2009.

“This year will present us with very challenging trading conditions but the key is to manage our cost base as well as develop sales.”
