The University of Warwick Science Park has been hailed as a hub for ICT excellence after five companies based across its centres were recognised for their achievements. Rivo, Allinea and Cognito from the science park’s Warwick Innovation Centre were joined by Dynistics from the Blythe Valley Innovation Centre and Rapide Communication, from the University of Warwick Science Park main site to be nominated for accolades at this year’s ICT Excellence Awards. Dynistics took home the Best Added Value Project award, while the other four companies were all highly commended in their respective categories. The University of Warwick Science Park, which has an additional centre in Binley in Coventry – where Rapide Communication started - provides property for knowledge and technology based businesses whether they are a business start-up, a small to medium sized enterprise or an international company. It can also provide assistance with start-up mentoring and finance, technology transfer, networking opportunities and marketing programmes for entrepreneurs and businesses. The unprecedented success at the West Midland’s most prestigious ICT awards ceremony has been warmly welcomed by University of Warwick Science Park chief executive David Rowe. He said: “We are delighted to see so many University of Warwick Science Park companies achieving this level of recognition. “This is a real indication that the services and support we provide at our centres is working and it is a fantastic honour for us to be associated with this kind of success. “We will continue to deliver on our commitment to support organisations at our centres and we hope these achievements will act as a seal of approval and attract even more businesses to the University of Warwick Science Park.” ENDS Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert Advent Communications 2 Edison Building Electric Wharf Sandy Lane Coventry CV1 4JA Tel: 024 7663 3636 http://www.advent-communications.co.uk |
