A Midlands company has gone global after landing a multi-million pound contract with an international software reseller. Business software developer Dynistics, based at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, in Solihull, has landed a contract with leading American technology firm Datawatch. Dynistics has developed innovative software that enables businesses to operate more efficiently. It allows managers to make better decisions because they can see company data at a glance in real time. The software, called Active Dashboards, takes information from existing databases and displays it in an easy to understand graphical format to suit the company’s individual needs. Dynistics has been based at the Innovation Centre for almost eight-years and has spent the last three years developing their cutting-edge technology. Earlier this year, they were contacted by Datawatch who had come across their Active Dashboard systems and wanted to learn more about it. Datawatch have some 30,000 clients across North America and Australasia and they immediately saw the potential Active Dashboards would give them in this highly competitive sector of the market. After three months of negotiations the deal was struck and within days organisations in the USA and Australia had signed orders with Datawatch - with more are in the pipeline. Anthony Dent, managing director of Dynistics, said: “We were delighted when Datawatch approached us and it was a huge endorsement of our product when they asked to become a mass distributor. “We already supply our products to a huge variety of companies and organisations across the UK, including over 50 hospitals, schools, colleges and financial institutions, and this deal has enabled us to take the next natural step and achieve the target of becoming a successful exporter. “Being based at the Innovation Centre at Blythe Valley has been a great help. It is a supportive environment that enables us to focus on what we are good at rather than have to worry about the practicalities.” Dynistics is also in the process of finalising deals to distribute its software across Europe in the next stage of its growth plans. Norman Childs, centre manager at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, said: “We are delighted to see the success that Dynistics have achieved and it has been very satisfying supporting Anthony and his team as they finalised the contract with Datawatch. “This kind of achievement underlines the Blythe Valley Innovation Centre’s status as an ideal location to nurture fledgling companies with big aspirations.”
