Press Release: Swimming sessions for £1 at Xcel Leisure Centre

Swimmers are being encouraged to dive into the pool at the Xcel Leisure Centre, in Canley, as a special offer is set to cause a splash.The main pool at the Coventry Sports Foundation managed centre is set to re-open Monday, December 6 following the completion of essential maintenance work.To celebrate the re-launch Coventry Sports Foundation is offering public swimming sessions to everyone for just £1 per person for the entire length of December.Kayle Burgham, the swimming development officer from Coventry Sports Foundation, said: “We are delighted to be able to resume normal service for our swimmers at the Xcel Leisure Centre.“We would like to thank all our swimmers for their patience and understanding whilst improvements were made to some of the tiling at the base of the pool.“When it became clear repairs would be needed on the main pool we went to great lengths to ensure our swimmers still had access to facilities thanks to a state-of-the-art short-term swimming pool.“The main pool will be fully operational by Monday, December 6 and we hope as many people as possible will come and try out the pool which will now be better than ever!”For more information and schedules for public swimming sessions visit www.covsf.com.ENDS
