Enthusiastic racers have been clocking up the miles to help an accountancy firm add up the cash for a worthy cause. Spencer Gardner Dickins (SGD), based in Coventry Innovation Village in Cheetah Road, Coventry, organised a special three-day race event at Ace Karting in Nuneaton and raised over £2,000 for Myton Hospice in the process. About 75 people, all clients and associates of SGD, attended the fundraiser at the Hartshill go-kart track. People travelled from across Coventry, Birmingham and the wider West Midlands to take part in what is expected to become an annual event. Bryan Gardner, a partner in SGD, said: “It was a fantastic event, which proved to be a great deal of fun, and raised a considerable amount of money for an important charity. “We were delighted with the support we received for this event and we will definitely be looking to organise something similar in the future. “So a big thank-you to everyone who attended and we hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.”
