Coventry City supporters are being given two extra days to snap up season tickets at Early Bird prices after Aidy Boothroyd was appointed as the club’s new manager.
The club’s commercial director Nathan Kosky has put the deadline back to Tuesday, May 25 and added extra opening hours in order to give fans sufficient time to buy at the discounted rate in recognition that many supporters were waiting for an announcement on the manager.
The lower price deals, which begin at £12.82 per game for adult season tickets, were due to finish on May 23. Season tickets for JSBs over seven start at £3.30 per match while under seven JSBs are free.
He said: “There has been a surge in the run up to the original Early Bird deadline and we are anticipating a very busy weekend online, on the phones and at our outlets at the Ricoh Arena and in the city centre.
“Some supporters have waited for this announcement, for that reason, we have extended the period by 48 hours.
“There is a large, loyal base of fans who have, and would have, signed up for a season ticket regardless of the manager and we are extremely grateful to those who have already bought and to those in the process of buying.
“But with this appointment falling on the early bird deadline weekend, I am sure there will be a greater surge of sales than otherwise and it makes sense to extend the deadline just for a short period.”

The club’s superstore at the Ricoh Arena will open on Sunday, May 23 from 10am until 4pm and also stay open until 7pm on Tuesday, May 25 to allow supporters more time to take advantage of the offer. Fans can now also book and renew their season tickets online 24 hours a day at www.ccfcshop.co.uk.
