Press Release: National B2B Centre gains seal of approval |
|
A Coventry-based organisation, which offers businesses help and advice on how to get the best out of IT, has begun 2010 with a seal of approval from two major bodies. The National B2B Centre, based at the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick, has helped hundreds of firms across the West Midlands in their use of e-business. Its advice and support includes everything from helping to improve a website’s search engine rankings to more strategic IT planning for larger companies. The National B2B Centre’s expert advice saw it win the Institute of Business Consulting’s (IBC) Regional Practice of the Year. The IBC is a professional body for all consultants and business advisers which is designed to raise the standards of professional practice in supporting better business performance. After being handed that award in London, The National B2B Centre has also been formally awarded certification to the Accredit UK Standard for ICT Business and Technical Consultancy. The Accredit UK standard covers full business performance including management, strategy, business generation, operations and customer relationships. Martin King-Turner, National B2B Centre director, said: “These awards are great testaments to the way we work at the National B2B Centre. “The feedback we have from companies we have helped over the years is very, very positive and that has always been a benchmark by which we have measured ourselves. “If those businesses we help are seeing a real benefit and it is having a positive effect on their bottom-line, that is very good news for the region. “The IBC and Accredit UK awards are industry standards and we are very pleased that our work has also been recognised in this way. “As we begin the new year – indeed the new decade – we will look to further enhance the support we offer as we try to make a significant, strategic difference to the way many firms use IT.” As well as being recognised by the IBC and Accredit UK, the National B2B Centre is also being credited with much of the e-business advice currently being offered on the Business Link website. “Not every business needs to come to us for first-hand advice,” added Martin. “Support on how to carry out relatively simple tasks can be accessed in places such as our own website and that of Business Link.” Media enquiries: |
