Press Release: NASCAR returns to Montréal

This weekend Montréal will play host to the ultimate auto racing event in the sporting calendar – the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

For the third year, extravagant drivers and cars of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will take to the track, bringing together 43 machines powered by their mighty V8 700+ BHP engines.

As the number one spectator sport and holding 17 of the 20 highest attended sporting events in the US, NASCAR is definitely not to be missed. With races held at a variety of track types, including short and intermediate tracks, superspeedways and road courses, there’s something for everyone.

With races broadcast in more than 150 countries and in over 30 languages, you don’t have to be a local to fully enjoy the experience. However, for those lucky enough to witness the drivers’ burn rubber and go head-to-head, also on the schedule: the technologically advanced high-speed Daytona Prototypes of the Rolex Grand-Am series and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series stock-cars, will see drivers push, shove and hit one another in pursuit of glory.
