Press Release: Kenilworth Show set to be one of the best yet |
|
The 66th Kenilworth Show is just days away and is set to be one of the best yet according to the show’s book keepers. Thousands of people from across the Midlands will flock to Hurst Farm on Crackley Lane in the town to enjoy the popular annual event on Sunday, June 7. First held in 1948, the Kenilworth Show is packed with entertainment for all the family, including a whole host of rural activities, such as show jumping, a polo display, an eagle and vulture show and a parade of hounds. There is also set to be plenty of demonstrations, a Medieval performance from the Knights of Middle England, as well as competitions taking place, including the hotly contested Homecraft Show. Refreshments will also be available throughout the day. For the last five years the show’s auditors, chartered accountants and financial advisors Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O), have also sponsored the show. HB&O director Andy Farren said: “The Kenilworth Show is a great event which Harrison Beale & Owen takes great pleasure in supporting. “The show has attracted good sponsorship levels yet again and, while the show has always proved a massive draw, people are supporting local events even more than usual during these tough economic times so we could see big numbers attending on June 7.” John Bausor, president of the Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society – the event organisers - added: “This is the 66th Kenilworth Show and it seems to get better and better every year. “Thousands of visitors enjoyed last year’s event and I’m sure this year will be even better. It really is a great day out.” The gates open at 9am on June 7, with tickets bought on the day £8 and £5 for concessions. END Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert |
