Press Release: IT companies go back to basics to win clients

In a time when many firms rely on new technology to communicate, two recently merged IT companies did things the old-fashioned way.

Coleshill-based Acutec joined forces with Coventry firm Computime at the turn of the year and, together, they now have around 300 clients across the Midlands.

To celebrate the merger, they held an open day at the Acutec offices in St. Peter's House in Church Hill, Coleshill, where clients could go along and meet the newly formed team.

Chris Roche, manager director of Acutec, said: "Of course, we encourage new technology as a form of communication as that is a major area of our business. Who knows where we would all be without email and the internet?

"But I still believe that business requires companies to come together face-to-face and to talk about individual needs.

"We know from our recent merger that while new technology was very important we would never have joined together had we not met on a personal basis.

"I believe it is all about getting the blend right to ensure you know exactly what your client needs and how you can service that."

John Dixon, who founded Computime more than 20 years ago, said: "More than 100 people came along throughout the day which was many more than we anticipated.

"It was great to get to know some of those clients that are new to us and we are all looking forward to working together in the future."
