Press Release: Host of acts to perform at the G Casino in Coventry

After the huge success of the sell-out concerts at the Ricoh Arena in June, fans in Coventry are sure to be excited at the prospect of seeing Take That Again.

The four-piece Take That tribute band will be performing at the G Casino this Friday (August 14) at the Ricoh Arena, which is set to be a night to never forget.

The evening is part of G Casino’s busy August weekend of entertainment which will see old favourites returning to the venue, as well as some new faces, ahead of the official relaunch later this year.

The £1.6 million G Casino features traditional gaming, a sports lounge, restaurant, bar and a packed entertainments programme.

Moni Tivony, who had the crowd dancing all night long when he performed his Lionel Ritchie tribute act earlier in the year, will also be performing this weekend with his R&B classics on Saturday. (August 15)

Moni, who is originally from south London and started singing when he was six-years-old, was runner-up on the BBC One tribute show One and Only and he also performed on the ITV series Stars in Their Eyes.

The following weekend will see a West Midlands take on the American-born Blues Brothers when the Birmingham Blues Brothers take to the stage in Lady Gs on Friday, August 21 while Michael Buble tribute, Max Hutton, will be performing on Saturday, August 22.

Paul Davis, General Manager, of G Casino, said: “We have a different act performing every weekend this month from pop to soul to Motown.

“They are all very talented singers – most having sung all over the world – so guests are sure to be impressed with their performances.”

The last weekend in August will welcome Warner Baker to the G Casino on Friday, August 28, whose twenty years of singing soul and Motown has included performing with chart sensation Heatwave as well as on numerous worldwide tours.

And Welsh soul singer Uche Eke, who has performed all over the world with bands including Hot Chocolate, Ray Lewis and the New Drifters, as well as having sung at Peter Andre and Katie Price’s wedding in 2005, will finish off the month’s entertainment on Saturday, August 29.

Paul added: “All of the acts are going to make for a great evening at the casino and I hope that everyone pops along to see for themselves – I’m sure they will leave having had a really good night.”

All performances will be in Lady Gs at the G Casino and will start at 10.15pm. Admission is free but guests must be aged 18 or over.
