More than 30 Coventry and Warwickshire businesses have clubbed together to raise over £1,250 for a Coventry based charity. Around 50 people attended the Harrison Beale and Owen (HB&O) golf day at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa and Golf Club, in Stratford-upon-Avon, to raise money for premature baby charity The Grace Research Fund. The event was played under the Texas Scramble format and included a reception breakfast, an evening meal and a charity raffle with prizes including golf equipment and vouchers up for grabs. Mark Ashfield, a director at HB&O, said: “Despite the wet weather everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we would like to thank all who took part to support the charity’s important work. “Many people have benefitted from the good work undertaken by the charity work and we are delighted to have been able to support them.” The Grace Fund is the nominated charity of HB&O and works to support much needed medical research into the causes of premature births and the best forms of neonatal care, to enhance the wellbeing of babies and their families.
