Press Release: HB&O build international relations at South Africa conference

A firm of Midlands accountants and financial experts has been making an impression on the international stage after flying into South Africa for a major conference.Harrison Beale and Owen, which has offices in Leamington and Coventry, was invited to attend the AGM of worldwide accountancy association MGI International after becoming members almost 12 months ago.MGI membership provides an international dimension to HB&O by allowing the firm to supply expert guidance on trading outside the UK to clients via like-minded independent firms of accountants based in relevant countries and accessed through the MGI network.Rob Kendall, managing director at HB&O, and Phil Ewing, HB&O’s Coventry director, made the 12,000 miles round trip to the Cape Town International Convention Centre to meet with over 90 delegates from 24 countries including the USA, Australia, China and Mauritius.The pair were given the opportunity to meet some of the network of 756 partners and 14,000 staff available to the firm as part of the MGI network and also had the opportunity to give a 15 minute presentation on HB&O to attendees at the event which was hosted by Cape Town accountancy firm MGI Bass Gordon.Kendall said: “This event provided us with a great opportunity to put faces to the names of our many partner organisations across the globe.“It has allowed us to get to know many of the staff at these firms personally and explore potential opportunities for us to work together.“Providing the best possible service to our clients is our top priority and this visit has meant that, where our clients require international services, we can be satisfied we are referring them to international partners we know and trust.”ENDS
