A former member of legendary soul group The Drifters heads up a packed December entertainment schedule at the G Casino. The G Casino, based at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, will play host to Roy G Hemmings on Friday, December 4. The charismatic singer, who has performed at the Royal Variety Show and the White House in the past, is now set to dazzle visitors to the G Casino with renditions of classic songs including Saturday Night at The Movies and Little Red Book. On Saturday, December 5 talented female singer Laura Mack will take to the stage before fellow female vocalist Jody Findley performs on Friday, December 11. Saturday, December 12 will herald the arrival of a 1960s nostalgia-inspired evening courtesy of the band Backbeat. And on Friday, December 18 the audience will be transported back to the 1980s via the musical offerings of cover band Heroes. Finally on Saturday, December 19 all-female band Back to the Future will continue the 1980s theme when they deliver their versions of the feel good hits associated with the decade. Paul Davies, general manager of G Casino, said: “December is party season and we are planning to celebrate in style here at the G Casino. “There is a fantastic variety of solo acts and groups performing for us this month and, best of all, it is completely free for people to come along and enjoy them. “We hope to welcome as many people as possible during the festive period in the fun and social environment provided by the G Casino.” All performances will be in Lady G’s at the G Casino and will start at 10.15pm. Admission is free but guests must be aged 18 or over. Photo ID is required.
