A Warwickshire independent car dealership was looking on the worldwide web to find out more about a major new online car auction and surprisingly found out they were next door neighbours!

Country Car, based in Barford, has 25 years experience specialising in prestigious used cars, which it buys from a number of sources.

They were considering using online auctions and heard about FullAuction from software company Cooper Solutions and decided to ask for more information on the product.

Country Car sales manager Dal Grewal said: “We have some very well established contacts in the motor industry but we are always looking for new sources because we specialise in the higher end of the market.

“I was doing some research and FullAuction caught my eye as something new. Online buying would be a new avenue for us, so I decided to contact the company – only to find out we are next door neighbours!

“We have to source cars from a wide area, and Cooper Solutions operate right across theUK, so it was incredible when we found out the company’s head office was only 10 yards away.

“I doubt whether they have ever had to make a sales trip on foot before, but it was really worthwhile and we have registered on to the site and intend to use it.”

Cooper Solutions, based at the Exchange in Barford, designs and sells web-based software which allows automotive dealers to improve the performance and efficiency of their businesses.

It works with more than 1,000 dealers across theUKand launched FullAuction at the start of July.

David Kennon, of Cooper Solutions, said: “We have been driving around theUKin the last few months visiting new car dealerships which trade their used stock, and the dealers who buy them.

“We have been down to the South West and up toScotlandon several occasions, but luckily I was the guy who took the call from Dal, and it was a pleasant 30 second stroll round the corner, and Country has now signed up.”

FullAuction is attracting hundreds of buyers to ensure strong selling prices and massively reducing the costs of buyers and sellers alike.

Cooper Solutions was founded 10 years ago and employs 18 staff.
