Press Release: Coventry and Warwickshire LEP motors into new home

The Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership has motored into its new home.
The two staff of the LEP will be based at the Gaydon plant of Jaguar Land Rover, which is offering the space free of charge as part of its support for the initiative.
Roger Dowthwaite and Sharon Newport have moved across from CSWP to handle the day-to-day running of the partnership.
Martyn Hollingsworth, Director - Vehicle Evaluation and Verification at Jaguar, is a board member of the LEP and said the company was a confirmed backer of the initiative which is designed to ensure economic growth in the area.
He said: “We are heavily involved in the CW LEP and believe it has made a great start with the potential to make a real difference to business and the economy.
“The staff needed some office accommodation – and we had some office space we could make available so it was a perfect fit.”
Denys Shortt, chairman of the CW LEP, said it was a sign of the LEPs progress that it had several offers to establish a permanent base.
“We have got off to a very productive start on several key fronts,” he said. “Roger and Sharon have worked very hard to ensure that this has happened and it is fitting they are now located in one of the leading companies in our area.
“The LEP is grateful to Jaguar Land Rover for its support.”
