Press Release: Coventry Sports Foundation Toddlerthon raises £500 for Children in Need |

The first Coventry Sports Foundation Toddlerthon proved a success as youngsters raised over £500 for charity.More than 20 children under five-years-old took part in the event for BBC Children in Need at the Coventry Sports Foundation’s Centre AT7 site on Bell Green Road.Children collected sponsorship for up to 10 laps of the centre’s sports hall and received a special stamp for each lap they completed.They were also invited to bring their own bicycles, push chairs and other items or wear fancy dress.Refreshments for parents and children were available on the day and there was the chance to meet Woody from the Toy Story films.Fee Smith, Centre AT7 manager, said: “This was a fantastic event and all the children really enjoyed themselves.“It was a great chance for youngsters to take part in a healthy activity while raising money for a worthy cause and we are delighted that so many people attended.” ENDS Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert Advent Communications 2 Edison Building Electric Wharf Sandy Lane Coventry CV1 4JA Tel: 024 7663 3636 http://www.advent-communications.co.uk |
