Press Release: Coventrian helps to keep staff morale afloat |
|
Christmas office parties have long been used as a way of boosting staff morale at the end of a busy year. But now a new type of party venue is on offer in Coventry which is guaranteed more than most to stop workers getting that sinking feeling - a 70ft narrow boat called The Coventrian. The boat, which is operated by The Living Environment Trust, is offering bosses the chance to take their Christmas party to a unique venue by booking onto the Coventrian to enjoy a three-course Christmas meal while floating through the city’s canal network.Andy Adkins, from Coventry Sports Foundation which is organising the cruises, said: “We wanted to offer something different from the traditional Christmas office party and holding this type of gathering on a canal boat is certainly unusual.“Many people will be tucking into turkey and drinking mulled wine at their Christmas party this year but not many people will be able to say they did it while they were afloat!“We are hoping the cruises will prove to be a big hit and we are encouraging people to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out.”Cruises will be held on Monday, December 20, Tuesday, December 21 and Wednesday, December 22 with additional dates available for bookings of 10 people or more.As well as a three-course meal during a three hour cruise there is also a full bar service, Christmas music and karaoke. Prices are £21 per adult and booking is essential. The office lunch cruises are limited to adults only but a Sunday lunch cruise is being held on December 19 for all the family priced at £21 per adult and £17.50 per child under 14-years-old.
