Press Release: Couples with the perfect chemistry revealed by Sony Ericsson’s W995 Pink love-match test

London, 9th February 2010 – People with the names “Katy” and “Russell” could make the perfect couple according to the Sony Ericsson W995 Pink’s love-match application, exclusive to The Carphone Warehouse.

The handset’s unique love-match test definitively sheds light onto what could have been, what should not have been, and what might still be in store for romantics seeking a little guidance in the run up to Valentine’s Day. Based on four different categories – sex, family, love and money - the test demonstrates how some of today’s couples fare in terms of sex, love, family and money.

If the test has any truth in it, the names “Katy” and “Russell” are extremely compatible and have strong sexual chemistry with a scorching 99% score. With this couple returning results of over 90% in each of the test’s four categories, it seems they’re destined to live happily ever after.

Meanwhile, contrary to popular belief, any couple whose names are “Brad” and “Angelina” are bound to be deeply in love (95%) and may do well to avoid making any hasty decisions.

However, one pair that cannot be beaten in the bedroom department go by the names “Madonna” and “Jesus” who score an impressive and perfect 100%. Proving that age is only a number and the larger the age-gap the more fun you supposedly have, couples named “Catherine” and “Michael” (99%) or “Calista” and “Harrison” (99%) also return flattering scores when it comes to their sexual compatibility.

On the other hand, the test predicts a reunion may be worth considering when it comes to old flames, such as those named “Katie” and “Peter” - this couple score a saucy 84% when it comes to love. Further forecasts predict that couples with the names “Katia” and “Jonas” will have a good compatibility rate (75% for love) whereas “Katia” and “Ronnie” fare much worse, with 7% and 4% in the family and love categories respectively.

Dave Hilton, Head of Marketing for Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland, said: “Clearly this is all very tongue-in-cheek. To mark the launch of the W995 Pink we thought it would be fun to see how a few of the names of the nation’s favourite celebrity couples fared using the handset’s new love-match tester application in the run up to this Valentine’s Day.”

The love match application is available exclusively on the W995 Pink handset at to The Carphone Warhouse. Incorporating eye-catching design with superb functionality, this chic W995 Pink handset exudes elegance and style, ensuring that you not only look great for your hot date, but stay entertained with exclusive movie clips, podcasts and music videos on the way.
