Press Release: Chamber event to highlight importance of worldwide trade |
|
The importance of worldwide trade to businesses in the region will be highlighted at an event this week. A World Trade Week UK event is being staged at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce on Friday, June 12 following its annual conference in the morning. The event will highlight successes that firms have had on the global stage and show ways in which businesses in the area can do the same. It will also give details on an aid-funded business service to help companies break into new markets. John Alty, of the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills, will be speaking at the event. Alan Durham, director of international trade at the Chamber, said: “During the downturn, we have seen many businesses that are trading internationally actually growing and increasing sales. “As we look to get on the road to recovery, overseas trade will become increasingly important and firms in this area should certainly make the most of this opportunity. “It will be a chance to reflect on how others have made it on the world stage and get hints and tips on how to do the same.” For more information contact the Chamber on 024 7665 4321.
