Press Release: Biggest Losers Help Bring the Gym to You |
|
Raleigh, NC (July 20, 2010) -- Getting in shape just got a lot easier for North Carolinians. Ed Brantley and Heba Salama, weight loss winners from season six of television’s The Biggest Loser, will be serving as territory managers for Home Training Groupä(HTG) North Carolina, a service that provides one-on-one, couples, or small-group customized sessions in the convenience of your own home.
“Ed and I are thrilled about working with the Home Training Groupä,” said Heba. “So many people don’t work out because they feel that they simply don’t have time to make it to the gym. But thanks to the Home Training Groupä, the gym can come to you. It’s a fun and affordable way to get in shape.”
“We know how important it is to find the right fit when it comes to a trainer,” said Heba. “Even though you’ve got to be the one who wants to get in shape, a good trainer can serve as a source of motivation and inspiration.”
After appearing on The Biggest Loser, Ed was inspired to get his personal trainer’s license, and he put it to use by volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club, teaching youth healthy living practices. Ed and Heba also have a “10 in 2010” fitness campaign, which aims to help motivate others to get in shape and stay fit, a goal they believe is accessible to everyone of every fitness level. They will be participating in 10 or more races and triathlons throughout 2010.
“Being on The Biggest Loser taught us that you can get healthy, you can lose weight—you just have to be willing to make it a priority in your life,” said Heba. “We hope that with the Home Training Groupä we can continue to help people throughout North Carolina get motivated and start making positive changes in their own lives.”
About Ed & Heba Ed and Heba shot to fame as weight loss winners on TV's The Biggest Loser by losing a combined total of 277 pounds. On the show, Heba became the first woman to win the "at home" prize of $100,000 for the highest percentage of weight lost overall. Her husband, Ed, finished the season in second place. Since then, the couple has been busy writing a cookbook of healthy recipes, working with non-profit organizations to prevent childhood obesity and promote fitness, as well as appearing regularly as guest speakers.
