Press Release: Biggest Losers Ed and Heba Head to West Coast for San Francisco Triathlon

San Francisco, CA (June 30, 2010) -- Ed Brantley and Heba Salama, weight loss winners from the reality TV show The Biggest Loser, will be participating in the San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island July 9th-11th.

“We’re excited to continue promoting the need for maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle with a triathlon on the west coast,” said Heba. “Ed and I are ready for the challenge, and the beautiful backdrop of San Francisco will definitely help push us to the finish line.”

Ed and Heba specifically will take part in the Olympic Distance Triathlon along with many other participants and winners from past seasons of The Biggest Loser. The Olympic Distance Triathlon includes a 1.5k swim, 40k bike ride and 10k run.

The San Francisco Triathlon is part of the couple’s “10 in 2010” fitness campaign. Ed and Heba will participate in 10 or more races and triathlons throughout 2010 to motivate others to get in shape and stay fit, a goal they believe is accessible to everyone of every fitness level.

Ed and Heba’s “10 in 2010” is supported by partnerships with Performance Bicycle (http://www.performancebike.com) and Raleigh Running Outfitters (http://www.raleighrunning.com).
