Press Release: Acua strengthen team with appointment of Manchester man

A former social worker who has enjoyed a successful career-change into training and development has been recruited by national organisation development experts to enhance leadership and management skills across Manchester and the North West.

Steve Brooks, from Bollington near Macclesfield, joins Acua Limited as a business coach responsible for designing and delivering strategic learning solutions, aimed at maximising the effectiveness and potential of individuals, teams and organisations across the region.

The 57-year-old has worked with a host of leading companies in the public and private sector during his career, including a period running his own training and development company.

The Manchester University graduate said: “When the recession kicked in, training and development was one of the first areas many firms cut from their budgets, but organisations are recognising just how much of a positive impact investing in people development can have on driving success.

“I’ve enjoyed working in the organisation development field for more than 20 years and I’m now looking forward to playing a part in Acua’s bright future.

“The company already has a strong growth strategy in place and has so many unique selling points, like the fact our business coaches work with clients at their premises to develop the skills of individuals and teams.”
