Press Release: Accountants raise cash for baby hospice |
|
The Warwickshire Society of Chartered Accountants has held its annual dinner and raised almost £3,000 for a baby hospice in the process. Over 100 members of the society met at the Ramada Hotel, near Kenilworth. Guests enjoyed dinner and were treated to live entertainment after taking part in a raffle for the Zoe’s Place Appeal, which aims to raise money for a baby hospice in Ash Green, Coventry. A total of £1,400 was raised on the evening with Barclays Bank pledging to double that amount, taking the total to £2,800. The commercial arm of Barclays Bank was the main sponsor of the evening which was also supported by F A Simms and Partners Ltd. The event was organised by the committee of the Warwickshire Society of Chartered Accountants – coordinated by Phil Ewing, from chartered accountants and financial advisors Harrison Beale and Owen, who are based in Coventry and Leamington. He said: “I was delighted with how the evening went and it was fantastic that we were able to raise so much money for such a worthy cause. “There was a lot of organisation involved but it was worthwhile and everyone seemed to have a good time.” ENDS Media enquiries: |
