Over 200 people attended the 61st annual Coventry Insurance Institute dinner – which raised over £2,000 for charity. Members of financial and insurance institutions from across Coventry and Warwickshire gathered at the Hilton Coventry in Paradise Way for the black tie event. A raffle raised £1,000 each for the Insurance Charities and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Guest speaker Mike Fosberry, president of the Personal Finance Society, shared his thoughts on the past 12 months and the year ahead before comedian Russ Williams charmed the audience with his rapier wit. Chris Soborowski, president of the Insurance Institute of Coventry and an associate director at Harrison Beale and Owen which has offices in Coventry and Leamington, said: “We were delighted to see so many people at the event and it is fantastic that we were able to raise so much money for some very worthy causes. “The evening was a huge success and I would like to thank everyone who made it possible to keep this great tradition running for another year.” ENDS
