Press Release: 2012 Euroleague Final-Four in Istanbul

The 2012 Euroleague Final-Four basketball matches will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. The championship is sponsored by Turkish Airlines and will take place between 4-6 May 2012 at the newly built Sinan Erdem Arena where also World Basketball championship was held in 2010.

The Euroleague Final-Four organization is the most prestigious tournament in Europe played between the best four teams for the final cup. During this championship many visitors and basketball fans will be visiting Istanbul and its sights too.

In the meantime Turkey will continue its major role in this kind of championships and tournaments in sports and especially in basketball, which is one of the most popular sports in Turkey. In 2014 the World Women Basketball championship will also be held in Turkey.
